Jan 12 Meeting

Here is a sample I cooked up for the meeting, so we have something to work with and visualize as we all use our new hexagon flower making skills to make a mini quilt!!  If anyone would like to come to the meeting, and did not get a supply list, please comment here or email me and I will get it to you!  If you missed Decembers meeting, and don't know how to make a hexagon, we can work around that also.  Just let me know!

Dec 8 Meeting

Don't forget we are doing our name tag challenge this meeting!  If you are new to us, feel free to join us without a name tag.  We always love having new people join us.  Also, don't forget to bring in any new finishes that you have!

First Meeting Photo

First meeting was during a Packer game, so we had some members not show up due to traffic conditions, etc.  Here is a photo of those of us who braved the roads for our first meeting!

Thank you to everyone who came and made the meeting a success.  Look forward to seeing you all October 13th, 6pm, again at Silver Thimble.  Don't worry, I will post again closer to the day so no one forgets! :D

FIRST MEETING!!!

I'm so excited, I found the perfect spot for our first meeting! It will be Thursday, September 8th, 6pm at Silver Thimble Quilt Shoppe.

Possible First Meeting Sites

Hello All!

I've been looking into places for possible first meeting sites.  I've talked to some of the local quilt shop owners and they have given some good recommendations.  I will be calling places and hopefully in July we can have our first meeting.  I am excited at the prospect!  I have great ideas for swaps, get to know yous, etc for our first couple meetings.  If anyone has any advice, any tips, any questions feel free to email, comment on this post, or call! I love hearing from everyone.

Flyers

I've made some flyers and take along cards - and have distributed some to local quilt shops.  I have more to have other shops put up, so hopefully that helps with exposure.  Once I have some more interested people, I think we will then plan our first meeting.

We will have an exciting first meeting.  I have a small project I plan to make for take gifts for everyone who comes to our introductory meeting.  I also have some ideas for what we can do for our first competition, swap, etc. 

For now, enjoy this modern quilt I made for a friend - it's a wonky cross quilt, straight line quilted.
